Privacy Policy

What we collect

For your account: your email address and password (stored as a hash, never in plain text).

For each child profile you create: the child's first name, a guidance line shown to whoever scans the code, one or two SOS phone numbers, your WhatsApp number, a home address (optional), and a photo (optional).

When someone scans your child's QR code: the time of the scan, and an approximate location — first a coarse, IP-based location, refined to a street/building-level address if the scanning device shares precise GPS.

Why we collect it

To run the emergency-identification and alerting service you signed up for: showing the guidance line and a call button to whoever scans the code, and alerting you by WhatsApp with the scan's location so you can respond.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and child profile data until you delete your account, or for up to 30 days after you request deletion while we complete removal. Scan history is kept alongside a profile for as long as that profile exists, and removed with it.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share it only with the services that make SafeScan work:

Children's data

A child's profile is created and controlled entirely by their parent or legal guardian. SafeScan does not knowingly collect information directly from a child.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, or erase your data, or withdraw consent, at any time. You can delete your account and data directly from your dashboard, or by writing to safescan@theblessedones.in.
